NuMark is currently accepting donations to raise money for Wreaths Across America (WAA) to honor fallen veterans and recognize the sacrifices they made for our country. Starting November 3rd, members and non-members are welcome to stop by their local NuMark branch to donate towards purchasing a wreath for a veteran’s gravesite at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (ALNC) in Elwood, IL. In return for donating, they’ll be given a small paper wreath to sign and hang on the branch’s lobby wall to show their support for WAA.
The deadline for donations is Saturday, November 22, and NuMark will be matching up to $2500.
Each year in December for National Wreaths Across America Day, WAA coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 2,500 additional veterans’ cemeteries across the country and abroad. This year’s National Wreaths Across America Day will be on Saturday, December 13 at ALNC. Any and all community members who would like to participate in the ceremonies are encouraged to volunteer. NuMark has been a proud supporter of WAA’s mission for fifteen years now, and thanks to the generosity of our members and community we’ve raised over $45,095 for the organization, sponsoring more than 4,658 wreaths to be laid at gravesites.

Wreaths Across America™ is nonprofit 501-c3 organization that was formed as an extension of the Arlington Wreath Project. The Arlington Wreath program was started by Morrill Worcester in 1992 with the donation and laying of 5000 Christmas wreaths to Arlington National Cemetery. For over 30 years, wreaths have honored veterans in each branch of the military in over 2,100 participating locations in all 50 states and 24 national veteran cemeteries on foreign soil. Over 100,000 wreaths have been donated, and more than 65,000 volunteers have participated in the project. To lay a wreath at a specific grave, fill out this Grave Specific Form.
