Solving Hunger In Our Communities

NuMark has been involved in helping the Northern Illinois Food Bank collect money in order to better serve our area. In early May, their new South Suburban Distribution Center celebrated their grand opening! This new center provides healthy groceries to local food pantries in Will, Kankakee and nearby counties.

In addition to staff and member donations, NuMark sponsored several fundraising activities including our Slice of the Pie Pizza event, our Slice of the Pie Baker’s Square Gift Cards and our infamous Pie Eating Contest. Several staff members participated in the Foodie 5K at Lewis University.

Giving a neighbor a helping hand is the perfect way to make everyone’s day. NuMark also sponsored Mobile Food Drives at Rockdale and Forest Park schools where NuMark staff and school employees volunteered to distribute food to those in need. The experience was a memorable one for all.

Thank you to all who donated. Your contribution made a difference. For every $1 donated, Northern Illinois Food Bank is able to provide $8 worth of nutritious food. To date NuMark has donated $11,817 which equates to $94,536 worth of food to families in need.
