At NuMark, our mission is to enrich financial lives, and that starts with educating our youngest community members. While we take financial education seriously throughout the year, April is a special month for us and many credit unions across the country, because it’s Credit Union Youth Month (CUYM)!
CUYM was created to raise awareness about the importance of teaching children about healthy financial habits. Knowing the difference between needs and wants, saving, and even learning to budget when they’re young can have a major effect on your child’s future success.
This year’s theme for CUYM is “Ready, Set, Save!” and it’s a great opportunity to start teaching your children at home about saving money and helping them lay the foundation for their own financial wellness.
NuMark is dedicated to the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” which is why we offer youth accounts for kids and teens, to help get them started on their financial journeys.
