Coming up on Thursday, October 17, NuMark is excited to be joining credit unions all across the world in celebrating the annual International Credit Union (ICU) Day!
ICU Day started as a National Day of Celebration in 1948, created by the U.S. Credit Union National Association (CUNA), to be celebrated on the third Thursday of October each year. The organizing of this day was later taken over by the World Council of Credit Unions, when the credit union movement gained more traction across the globe.
Credit unions all over the world take this day to celebrate their wonderful employees, and loyal members who keep them going each day. It’s also an opportunity to show how we differ from bigger corporate banks. Each day, credit unions work hard to uphold the “people helping people,” mentality that credit unions were built on, and NuMark is proud to be a part of the movement for 70 years, serving and supporting our community members.
