On Giving Tuesday, NuMark made memories and a difference while helping feed our neighbors. NuMark hosted a mobile food pantry event with Northern Illinois Food Bank at Forest Park IE School in Joliet. Families in need were encouraged to attend and nutritious food was given to 102 families. While NuMark Team members handed out food, they took away a story to tell.

I came home and shared my experience with my 7 year old son and reminded him how appreciative we should be… He then suggested we go buy some toys and bring them to a children’s hospital for Christmas. NuMark also helped Northern Illinois Food Bank in their Giving Tuesday triple match opportunity. For one day, each $1 donated would result in $24 in groceries. We reached out to members and encouraged them to make donations. We also included the profits from the Bakers Square gift card sales and held a staff casual day. In total NuMark donated $2,929 and provided $70,296 worth of groceries with the triple match. Through volunteering and making donations November 28th was indeed a memorable day .
