Debit Card Roundup
With Debit Card Roundup, you save as you spend. When you sign up Debit Card Roundup, your Debit Card purchases are automatically rounded up to the next dollar amount and the difference deposited directly to your savings account.
How It Works
For example, if you get breakfast for $8.25 in the morning, make a quick stop at the store and spend $25.10 and fill up your gas tank for $44.65–all those transactions will post exactly how the purchases were made to your account. Then, the difference will be rounded up to the nearest dollar and deposited into your savings account.
- $8.25 rounds up to $9 and the difference is $0.75
- $25.10 rounds up to $26 and the difference is $0.90
- $44.65 rounds up to $45 and the difference is $0.35
Total Round Up $0.75 + $0.90 + $0.35 = $2.00
At the end of the day, you will have generated $2.00 in Roundups that would then be deducted from your checking account as a lump sum and deposited to your savings account.
