Thank You Tim Rathbun and Dave Cordero for 65+ Years of Service
Credit Unions follow the “People Helping People” philosophy. Part of what distinguishes credit unions from other financial institutions is their volunteer board of directors. These dedicated volunteers lead the credit union to serve the best interests of the members.
We are proud to announce that after 65+ years of dedication to NuMark Credit Union, Tim Rathbun and Dave Cordero are retiring from our board of directors.
Rathbun has been an integral part of NuMark Credit Union since its inception. He joined the board of what was then Members Equity Credit Union, which served the employees of Caterpillar. When asked why he like volunteering with us he said, “I was proud to be invited to serve on the board and have been honored to do so for many years. NuMark Credit Union exclusively serves the working people, who are its members and hence its depositors and borrowers, unlike any commercial lender. The staff and my fellow board members are competent, experienced and loyal to the membership. I have been lucky to work with such fine people.”
Cordero has served on the NuMark Board for 40 plus years. He was Chairman for Diesel Credit Union’s board (later known as Dynamic Credit Union) when they merged with Members Equity Credit Union. Time flies when you are having fun. Cordero stated, “I loved everything about volunteering on the NuMark Credit Union Board.”
Not only were Rathbun and Cordero volunteer board members, but they are also Veterans. Nearly a decade ago, they each took a part in coordinating the Wreaths Across America program at NuMark where wreaths are placed on Veteran’s gravesites each December to remember fallen soldiers and honor those who have served.
NuMark’s board of directors generously offer their time and expertise to serve our members and the community. Ann Dubie, CEO/ President of NuMark Credit Union states, “Our board members play a critical role in our credit union. They serve with the best interests of our members at heart and help to build NuMark into the strong credit union that we have today. We can’t thank Tim and Dave enough for their volunteer years of leadership and service.”
