NuMark CU Offers First-Time Home Buyer Seminars
Today’s housing market is quite attractive for those looking to make the move to their first home. NuMark Credit Union is offering home buyers a free seminar title “First-Time Home Buyer” so they can successfully navigate through the home buying process. This seminar will take place from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on the following dates at NuMark Credit Union locations:
Tuesday, February 20th in New Lenox
Thursday, March 1st in Tinley Park
Tuesday, March 13th in Countryside
Thursday, March 22nd in Crest Hill
Attendees will learn valuable information from a panel of local professionals that all have a role in the home buying process. The panel will include a real estate agent, home appraiser, home inspector, representative from the title company and NuMark Credit Union’s Vice President of Mortgage Lending, Harry Stewart. Participants will get all their questions answered regarding inspecting, buying and closing on their first home.
“The trick is to know how to successfully navigate through the home buying processes,” said Harry Stewart, NuMark Credit Union Vice President of Mortgage Lending. “This free seminar is time well spent. The information you learn could save you thousands of dollars on your first home purchase.” NuMark Credit Union mortgage staff will be available to pre-qualify people if they so desire. Those looking to pre-qualify will need to bring the last three months of bank statements, the last two years of federal tax returns with W-2’s and the last 30 days of pay stubs.
“Although interest rates have slightly increased, home prices are still low and first-time home buyers can still get a great deal on a home,” said Stewart.
This seminar is free and all are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be available at no cost. Participants are encouraged to bring their friends and family. Seating is limited. Reserve your seat online at numarkcu.org or call 815-729-3211.
