First-Time Home Buyer Seminars

Today’s housing market is still attractive for those looking to make the move to their first home. NuMark Credit Union is offering home buyers a free seminar title “First-Time Home Buyer” so they can successfully navigate through the home buying process. This seminar will take place from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on the following dates at NuMark Credit Union locations:

Tuesday, February 19th in New Lenox
Thursday, February 21st in Countryside
Tuesday, March 5th in Tinley Park
Thursday, March 7th in Crest Hill
Tuesday, May 14th in Crest Hill
Thursday, May 16th in Tinley Park

Attendees will learn valuable information from a panel of local professionals that all have a role in the home buying process. The panel will include a real estate agent, home appraiser, home inspector, representative from the title company and NuMark Credit Union’s Vice President of Mortgage Lending, Harry Stewart. Participants will get all their questions answered regarding inspecting, buying and closing on their first home. This seminar is a great resource for those who are in the market to purchase their first home, but don’t know where to start.

“Although interest rates have slightly increased, home prices are still low and first-time home buyers can still get a great deal on a home. We can help first time home buyers by educating them and providing them with all of the resources, tools and knowledge to make their first home buying experience as smooth and stress free as possible.” says Stewart.

NuMark Credit Union mortgage staff will be available to pre-qualify people if they so desire. Those looking to pre-qualify will need to bring the last three months of bank statements, the last two years of federal tax returns with W-2’s and the last 30 days of pay stubs.

This seminar is free and all are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be available at no cost. Participants are encouraged to bring their friends and family. Seating is limited. Reserve your seat online at or call 815-729-3211.
