Besides providing fantastic service, we also have a lot of talented cooks on our staff. We eat pretty well around here, and we'd like to share some of our favorite recipes with you. Enjoy!
2 (12 oz) cans frozen lemonade, thawed
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sweetened raspberries, partially thawed
2 to 4 T sugar
1 (2 liter) bottle club soda, chilled
In a blender, combine the lemonade concentrate, raspberries and sugar. Cover and process until smooth. Strain to remove seeds. In a 4 1/2 quart container, combine raspberry mixture, club soda and ice cubes. Mix well. Serve Immediately.
Seafood Pasta Salad
1/2 C. Miracle Whip salad dressing
1/4 C. Kraft Zesty Italian dressing
2 T. parmesan cheese, grated
2 C. corkscrew noodles, cooked and drained
1 1/2 C. imitation crab meat
1 C. broccoli flowerets partially cooked then cooled
1/2 C. green pepper, chopped
1/2 C. tomato, chopped
1/4 C. green onion, chopped
Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate.
24-Hour Layered Salad
1 head lettuce, torn into bit-size pieces
1 head cauliflower, broken into flowerets
1/4 C. sliced green onions & tips
pkg. frozen peas, thawed
1 small sweet red pepper, chopped
2 C. mayonnaise
2 T. sugar
1 C. shredded cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
In a large bowl, layer ingredients in order given. DO NOT MIX. Tightly cover bowl with plastic wrap or lid. Refrigerate overnight. Toss before serving. Yield 8 to 10 servings.
1 can (12 oz) frozen Margarita mix, slightly thawed
4 boneless beef strips or chunky steaks or skirt steak
1 tsp coarse (kosher) salt
Empty the Margarita mix in a large resealable plastic bag; add the steaks, seal and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Preheat the grill. Grill the steaks until desired doneness. Sprinkle with coarse salt before serving. **You can top with chopped cilantro and fresh jalapeno peppers if desired.
Marinated Pork Chops
2 T. lime juice
1/4 C. olive oil
2 tsp vinegar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp Tabasco sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp paprika
Mix all ingredients together. Marinate pork chops overnight. Grill. Yields approximately 4 pork chops.
Crush 1 (16 oz) package of Oreo Cookies and set aside.
Mix & set aside:
4 oz. softened cream cheese
2 T. Oleo
1/2 C. confectioners sugar
Mix with mixer:
1 large box instant vanilla pudding
1 3/4 C. milk
8 oz Cool Whip
Blend all ingredients and serve in child's pail with shovel or plastic flower pot with plastic flower.
Vanilla Ice Cream
2 1/2 C. sugar
6 C. milk
4 C. light cream (1 C. whipping cream and 3 C. half & half)
2 T. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
Beat eggs until light. Add sugar gradually, beating until mixture thickens. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Freeze ice cream in freezer. Yield 1 gallon.
